How Do Pay Cards Work?

Activation & Setup

Employers issue the card to an employee for the user to activate. The card is then linked to payroll.

Funds Are Loaded

The card is then loaded by 10:00am ET each payday with the employee's paycheck. The employer runs payroll as usual.

Start Spending

Once funds are loaded, employees can begin using the paycard immediately at most ATMs, and anywhere Debit Mastercard or Visa debit cards are accepted.

What is the rapid! PayCard?

This is a prepaid card that does not require a credit check. The card allows employees to spend pay instantly on payday and without needing a bank account or direct deposit.

When are payroll funds available?

Pay will typically be available by 10:00 am ET on the morning of payday. Employees can check their total balance using the rapid! app, or calling customer support.

What if a card is lost or stolen?

Employees can report the card as such, and request a new one directly from rapid! or from their employer.

Are there any transaction fees?

No. There are no transaction fees when using the rapid! PayCard.

Are direct deposit and a bank account required to use Paycards?

Direct deposit and a bank account are not required to use PayCards, making them an appealing option for businesses looking to transition from paper checks.
